Gratitude

I know today is not Thursday and that I should probably be showering and finally getting ready for the day but I was thinking about how blessed I am and wanted to write down my feelings. Sometimes when I'm not stressing about the future and raising children in a continually darkening world I am overwhelmed with gratitude that right now, as I write this, there is a little angel girl growing inside of me. It truly is a miracle. I can't wait until the day I can hold this little girl in my arms, I hope I can remember to take the time to enjoy every minute because from what I have been told it goes way too fast. I don't want to rush through my children's lives. And while I can't wait until I get to hold our little girl, I also don't want to completely rush through the pregnancy. I want to enjoy every kick and nudge and all of the little/big aches and pains because it is all a part of the process. Yesterday, I didn't really feel her move much, and I know that as far along as I am that is nothing to be to concerned about, but I still feel like I was slightly stressed all day worrying about what was going on in my stomach. Today I was blessed to be able to feel her as a woke up and then as weird as it may sound I threw up as I started eating my breakfast. While I am glad I'm not throwing up every day anymore and getting sick is pretty infrequent, I am thankful that every once in a while I still get sick. I'm grateful for all of the little pregnancy symptoms that can get annoying but that tell me our little girl is growing healthy and strong. I only have four months left, and while that still feels like a long time it feels like just yesterday Brandon and I were talking about how we still had five months. The time already seems to be going quickly, which is nice, but I hope I can remember to enjoy each day. Anyways, this is probably a bunch of jumbled thoughts but I am truly grateful for the opportunity to start our family and my heart was overflowing this morning with joy to be having a little girl. Heavenly Father truly does bless us.

It's a Girl!

Well today was the day we got to see our little one close up and find out what we are having. We met with our doctor first and he tried to get a good face shot but the little one was hiding her face in the placenta so he's going to try next appointment.

Then we had our ultrasound, it was pretty cool, make that REALLY COOL! My favorite part was seeing our little girl wiggle and kick her little legs. She was moving quite a bit. I think the technician found it a little frustrating at times when she would try to get a good image of something and our little girl kept moving around.

Below are some pictures and a few videos of our little girl.

20 Weeks, Half Way There

Well I'm 20 weeks now, which means we are half to meeting our little one. So far the second trimester hasn't been too bad, I still have very little appetite but I can keep a lot more food down which is good. I think I went two weeks without throwing up once, then I threw up twice this last week. Maybe I will just be a little sick the entire time, it would be a little sad but definitely still worth having a baby. I have started feeling the baby move more and more. The first time I felt it move was when I was 16 weeks, it only happened once that week, then once the next week and then it started picking up and now I can feel the movements almost everyday. Brandon is looking forward to the day when he can feel them too. Here is a picture of me at 20 weeks.

I feel like I'm getting pretty big but everyone else says how small and cute I am for being 20 weeks, I guess that's what I get for having a really long torso.

I have finally started making a few things for this little one and myself. First my mom taught me how to knit a cute little baby hat and I have been working on those. We don't know what we are having yet but I figure I can either give away the ones that I don't use or keep them for the next one and hope we have the opposite gender.
I made the top two, my mom made the bottom two.
I also made a nursing cover. I found a couple tutorials online here and here and in the end I kind of combined them and did my own thing for parts. Overall I think it turned out great!

My next post will probably be in a little over a week. We find out what we are having next Tuesday, and I will be sure to let you all know. I'm so excited to find out so I can really start crafting and buying things!
