Well, I have not blogged in a few weeks. Last Thursday I woke up and had a lot of back pain so I took it easy that day and did not get around to blogging, and the Thursday before that I went to our Stake Humanitarian Day and that threw my day off so I totally forgot to blog. It also doesn't help that lately it has been hard for me to think of things to be grateful for, just because sometimes it is hard to see past the huge trial continually sitting center stage. But that is one of the reasons I decided to start blogging about things I am thankful for, because it helps me to stay more positive (sometimes :-) ). So, on a side note Brandon and I received callings in our new ward, we have been called to team teach in primary. We have not been given a class assignment yet, so for the next two weeks, until we do get our assignment, we will be substituting the 10 year-olds. I am a little nervous about teaching primary but I think it will be a lot of fun and a good learning experience, and it is really nice that Brandon and I get to do it together. Okay so back to my real reason for this post...
This week I am thankful for paint.

I know it kind of seems like an odd thing to be thankful for but I am so glad we don't have to live in an all white world. I always liked to paint the walls in my bedroom growing up, I just like color, and now that I have my own house I have loved the possibilities of how I can paint, to make it feel more like our home. I love how the walls look right after you paint them, they are so fresh and clean. I recently finished two painting projects in our house, as you can see from the pictures above and I absolutely love how they turned out (now if we could just decide on a color for our half bath...). So, today I thank anyone and everyone that was involved in the creation of this wonderful medium.
What are you thankful for lately?
