4 Months!

Well Phoebe is now 4 months. To celebrate her 4-month birthday she decided to get a cold...sad! Overall she is handling it pretty well, the worst part so far was last night. She was up off and on all night with lots of phlegm coughing and sputtering away. She had her 4-month check-up today and since she has a cold didn't have to get her vaccines just yet, which I guess was a blessing in disguise. At 4-months she is getting pretty good at rolling over, playing with her toys on her stomach, she still likes to try to sit up and is pretty good at it for her age (or so our pediatrician said), she also likes to do v-sits (lifting her head and her legs), nursing is going pretty good, and she likes talking with either your finger or her fingers in her mouth. She is still skinny but not quite as tall, and her head is getting bigger. Here are her stats:

Height: 24 in, 40th percentile
Weight: 12 lbs 8 oz, 20th percentile
Head: 39 1/2 cm, 25th percentile

Last time getting to wear this sleeper...it was sad! Plus the rash on her cheeks makes for  one sad picture.

Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving we enjoyed our blessings especially little miss Phoebe. We didn't have the opportunity to get together with family as we will be using the rest of Brandon's vacation for our trip in December so we had a small relaxing Thanksgiving. We started setting up Christmas, made a pumpkin roll, made a huge delicious pizza and enjoyed playing with Phoebe. Overall it was a good day and nice to be able to spend it together as a family. Girl's weekend

Well this past weekend was quite the adventure for Phoebe and me. Phoebe went on her first plane trip and we were able to go to Time Out for Women (TOFW) with my mom, Janelle, Melinda, aunt Jessica, my cousin Mary and my aunts friend Mary. Phoebe did pretty good considering it was such a new experience for her, her mom on the other hand was kind of a stressed mess, but it was still fun! It was fun to see my sisters, wish we could have spent time with Angela, and it is always nice to see my mom. We had a busy weekend. Thursday we flew in, Friday we went shopping at the Columbia outlet, then out to lunch and then to TOFW which Phoebe did pretty good at. Jenny Oaks Baker was the musical artist for the night and sometimes her violin got a little loud for Phoebe. Saturday was TOFW pretty much all day. Phoebe had a rough time in the morning but did awesome in the afternoon. She slept for the last two hours or so, which was super nice and allowed me to really listen and feel the spirit. We spent the rest of the day at my aunt and uncles and then Sunday we flew back home. Phoebe did pretty awesome on the flights. On the flight to Washington she only cried for the last little bit and compared to the screaming baby in the row next to us her crying was nothing. On the flight back she slept the entire time, what a good little girl, my only complaint is that my arm was killing me by the end of the flight.

This is not from the weekend but I thought it was really cute that she started rolling on her side, at first I thought she was going to roll completely over but instead she just chilled on her side looking at her monkey.

How cute! I love that she has started grabbing her toes.

Halloween

Well obviously Phoebe didn't go trick-or-treating this year, she will just have to wait until next. However, we did dress her up in two cute outfits. She wore the frog outfit to our ward Halloween party and the bear one was lent to us by some of our friends. Unfortunately she is so long the bear one didn't quite fit, but it was cute anyways. As you can tell by the pictures below playing dress up got old fairly quickly. I also included a video of her jabbering away to me, she is too cute!
