Well, we had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend, spending time with Bridger and Janelle. Friday was my birthday, it was a pretty good day. After my classes we headed up to Bridger and Janelle's, we got up there late, and since Bridger and Janelle both had to wake up early the next day for work, we went straight to bed.
Saturday morning after Janelle got home from work and took a nice little nap, we went to Sally's to pick up some supplies for my hair. Brandon stayed home and worked on his independent study class. When we got home Janelle highlighted and cut my hair. It really is great having someone in the family that can do hair for cheap. She did a great job. We added some blond and caramel highlights first. Brandon was a little iffy on how he felt about it. Then we added in some black low-lights to tone down the highlights. Brandon felt a lot better about this, and decided he really like my hair in the end, he was pretty unsure in the middle. Then Janelle cut my hair. She basically just added some layers, since I am trying to grow my hair out, I didn't want a lot off of the length. Once Bridger got home, we relaxed some, while he took a quick nap. And then we went out to Red Robins for my birthday dinner. It was very delicious. We told them it was my birthday, and they sang to me. There tradition is to tie two balloons together and put it under your head (they call it your birthday ears) and then they sing to you. It was some what embarrassing but well worth the free ice-cream Sunday I received! When we got home, Bridger and Janelle taught Bridger and me how to play Canasta. We played girls against boys and we (the girls) whooped the boys.
Sunday we woke up, had a wonderful breakfast of eggs, hash browns, toast, and bacon. Then we played some more Canasta (this time the boys won). We got ready and headed off to church. After church we came back made some delicious tacos/burritos, and settled in for a nice relaxing evening full of Canasta, a walk around a pond, and the movie Balto.
Monday we decided to have a Barbecue with Bridger's cousins, after the Barbecue we played some horseshoes (Janelle and I remembered why we didn't like that game when we were younger....we stink at it and it takes way too long!). Then we came home to a wonderful crock-pot Chicken dinner (I have fallen in love with crock-pot chicken dinners). We played one last game of Canasta (the boys won again :( ). Then Brandon and I headed home. Overall it was a pretty good weekend.
Below are some of the pictures we took, we brought our camera in hopes of taking lots of pictures...we were not very successful in our endeavors but we did get a few.
